Tuna Habitats
- Tuna are spawned mainly in the gulf of mexico.
- Found all over: Coastal estuaries, Lakes, Wetlands, Rivers, and Mountain streams.
- They hide in water weeds, tree roots, undercut banks, and sometimes dig down in mud.
- Tuna do not live in only one location, they migrate.
- They can adapt to cold or tropical waters.
Habitat Advantages
- Since they migrate to different areas their food source is not as limited.
- They can breed easily because they travel in shoals.
- They are less likely to be eaten by predators.
